Tank KV-1 of the 1941 edition. This machine is made on ChTZ, as can be judged, for example, on two cylindrical fuel tanks on the over-caterpillar shelf.

From July 1 production of the KV-2 tank ceased; in the same month, reinforced support rollers and a simplified tower for KV-1 entered production. The design of the latter was revised, part of the bent parts replaced with straight ones, and also reduced the total length of the tower. Stamped support rollers were replaced with castors, and support rollers with internal cushioning due to acute rubber deficiency - cast-in-one. Torsion shafts were made from rolling blanks. The cancellation of forging in the production of torsion shafts enabled the existing equipment to increase their output by 4-5 times.
